DeadlockCoach
First-install download for testers. Windows only.
Before you download
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Nothing else is supported.
- You need to own Deadlock on Steam and have it installed — the app reads your own game's replay files from your own install, nothing is downloaded from Valve on your behalf.
- This is a first install only. Once it's running, the app updates itself automatically in the background — you never need to come back to this page for a newer version. If you're checking this page hoping for an update, you don't need to: just launch the app.
Windows will warn you — this is expected
There is no installer — you download a ZIP, unpack it, and run the app from wherever you put it. This build is unsigned (no paid code-signing certificate yet), so Windows SmartScreen will show a blue "Windows protected your PC" dialog the first time you run it. That is normal for an unsigned app from a small developer — it does not mean anything is wrong or broken. Here is exactly what you'll see and what to click:
- Click "More info" (small text link, easy to miss).
- A "Run anyway" button appears — click it.
- The app starts normally from then on.
This happens once, for this copy. The app updates itself after that, and updates never show this dialog — they arrive through the app rather than through your browser.
Installing it — the whole thing
- Download
DeadlockCoach.zipbelow. - Right-click the ZIP → Properties → tick "Unblock" → OK. Optional, but it saves you a second warning later.
- Right-click the ZIP → Extract All… → Extract. It unpacks
into a folder called
DeadlockCoach. Put it anywhere you can write to — your user folder or Desktop is fine. NotC:\Program Files: the app is portable and updates itself in place, which needs a writable folder. - Run
DeadlockCoach\DeadlockCoach.exeand click through the SmartScreen dialog above. - On first launch it downloads about 1.2 GB of coaching models in the background. The app is usable straight away; the coaching features switch on when that finishes and tell you where they are up to.
To uninstall: delete the folder. Parsed replays live in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\DeadlockCoach and can go too.
No build published yet
The download page is up, but no release has been published to download yet. Nothing is broken — there is genuinely nothing here to install.
Check back shortly, or ping whoever sent you this link.
Couldn't load release info
This page reads the current version, size and checksum from
release.json, a small file published alongside this page
at deploy time, and that failed:
Try reloading the page. If it keeps failing, ping the owner — this page may not have been redeployed since the last release yet.

Verify what you got (optional, recommended)
Open PowerShell in the folder you downloaded to and run:
